It's Sunday

Today is Sunday, a new day is dawning.

This has been a tough week. My last grandparent died. My grief was profound. But I believe it was more difficult to watch my parents and children with their tears and grief. My mom and I coped by discussing Diana Gabaldon's Outlander books. Mom is up to "Voyager" in the series. I have read all of the books. It is nice to have someone who shares my experiences to also share my interests. Discussing Jamie and Claire helped us to cope with the week.

Now that Grandmother has passed on, will I go back to Boaz, my birthplace? I initially said no, until I realized there is unfinished business on Sand Mountain. Shopping at the VF outlet, saying good-bye to my grandparents home, researching my family history and a few relatives left to visit. I believe there are a few more 4 hour car trips remaining.

I ended last week with a big Christmas party. I have not laughed so much or loud in a long time. I'm so glad we made the effort to go. This is a new group of friends for us. We joined the Lake Lanier Parrothead Club (Jimmy Buffet-Husband's fav) last winter. I am finally learning everyone's names. We had great food (breakfast), lots of pictures and laughs playing the Ornament exchange. The best part was wearing our P.J.'s!

That's all for this week!
